Designed after winning an invited competition in 2007, the Students’ Health Centre extends a 1970s YTHS building in Helsinki’s Töölö district. The red brick addition responds to the surrounding neo-classical context. A glazed inner courtyard forms the main entrance and public core, while clinical spaces line the street and waiting areas face the curved inner wall. Completed in 2010, the project received the Glass Prize of the Year.
